Policies

COMMUNICATION POLICY

Our main source of Communication is the Remind App. In addition, important information and announcements will be posted on our website each week. It is each student or their parents responsibility to follow these communications regularly to make sure you stay up to date!

INCLEMENT WEATHER

If we are forced to cancel classes due to inclement weather, you will be notified via the Remind App. We will also post on our website and Facebook. We will try to make closing decisions at least two hours prior to an affected class. If we DO have classes and you live far away where the weather might be worse, please use your own discretion.

ABSENCES

Please notify the studio as soon as possible if your child is going to miss a class (in-person or virtual). There are no in-person make-up classes available. Please note that attendance is important to the learning process and you are expected to be in your assigned class each week unless an unavoidable problem arises. Excessive absenteeism may result in your inability to participate in upcoming performances and will inhibit your advancement to the next level.

PERFORMANCES

Linn McDonald School of Dance presents the full-length Nutcracker in December as well as two end of year recitals for junior dancers and senior dancers. Traditionally, these are fully produced stage performances at Scranton High School and Marywood University. This year, because of social distancing guidelines and health and safety concerns, the performances may take a variety of forms. We will make performance decisions as the season progresses.

RECITAL FEES

  • Nutcracker – Costume and rehearsal fee $85 (due before rehearsals begin)
  • Spring Recitals – Costume Fee (due by February 1)

                          Junior dancers $60

                          Senior dancers $85

Costume and rehearsal fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. This year's fees may vary based on how recitals are presented but will not exceed the above. In order to purchase presale tickets on ticket day, all tuition and fees must be paid in full!
